She Cranes Start Netball World Cup Campaign with a defeat to England

The 2019 Netball World Cup officially kicked off yesterday in Liverpool, England with the She cranes losing their first game to the hosts.

The world 2nd Ranked England Roses beat the sixth ranked Uganda She Cranes 64-32 Uganda. She Cranes conceded many contact penalties little surprise, therefore, that the team played the final twelve minutes a player less as Stella Oyella was sent off early in the fourth quarter.

The two teams had had four meetings with the Roses winning them all.

Uganda returns to action today against Samoa with the game scheduled to throw off at 5:25 pm (EAT).
