Uganda Police Sends Off 100 Officers Over Bad Health

The Uganda Police Force (UPF) has sent off more than 100 police officers due to their detoriating health.

The officers who have been relegated of their duties vary from the ranks of Police Constable to Inspector of Police- Inspector of Police. These police officers have been retired on medical grounds since their ill-health may not enable them to fulfill their duties.

In a message signed and released by Message Authorising Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police -ACP Emmanuel Muheirwe, 19 Inspectors of Police -IPs, 21 Sergeants -Sgts, 23 Corporals -Cpl and 30 Police Constables Ps have been retired due to deteriorating health.

The retirement of over 100 police officers has been approved by Directors Human Resource Management -HRM and Welfare.
