The Deputy RDC for Kwania District, Jacob Jonga, was apprehended yesterday following allegations of assaulting Gillian Akullu, the RDC of Alebtong, during a meeting at Gulu University Library.
The incident occurred as the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) gathered RDCs, RCCs, and DRDCs from the Greater North region. Akullu reportedly suffered severe injuries and was left in a near-death state. The altercation was triggered by a dispute over Gen Salim Saleh’s fuel allowance.

Efforts to negotiate the matter outside Police turned futile as commissioner Akullu who reportedly suffered severe injuries and was left in a near-death state didn’t bulge to various attempts including that from the Dean of RDCs. The altercation was triggered by a dispute over Gen Salim Saleh’s Cash .
