National Unity Platform president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssetamu popularly known as Bobi Wine has been nominated to represent African leaders at the US-Africa leaders summit, ending speculations that Museveni who last featured at the same in 2018 would represent Uganda.
The summit will be hosted by President Joe Biden hosting leaders from across the African continent in Washington, DC on December 13-15,2022.
This summit will demonstrate a lot of things including the US’s enduring commitment to Africa and will underscore the importance of Africa – US relations and increased global priorities
The summit is set to build shared values to better foster new economic engagement, reinforce the US – Africa commitment to democracy and human rights, mitigate the impact of covid-19 and future pandemics, work collaboratively to strengthen regional and global health, promote food and security, advance peace and security, respond to the climate crisis and simplify diaspora ties.
Robert Kyagulanyi Ssetamu has been selected to represent African leaders inform of giving a speech about Africa’s democracy during the summit, which is putting him on top of Africa’s democrats.
