Winnie Kizza boosts Tourism with Alfa Tango Launch

The Woman MP for Kasese and Leader of the Opposition (LOP) in the 10 Parliament of Uganda Hon. Winnie Kiiza has joined tourism promoters in launching balloon safaris in western Uganda.

The legislator earlier this week launched the Alfa Tango air balloon at Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese district. The balloon safari will enable tourists to easily posted to most areas in Uganda’s popular national park.

The LOP was joined by State Minister for Tourism Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda at the launch. She is tourism is key to Uganda’s development as it fetches a lot of revenue.

“Am back home to launch the Alfa Tango air balloon at Queen Elizabeth National Park with the State Minister for Tourism Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda. This will enable our tourists to easily access most areas in the Park as they appreciate nature. Any mindful leadership will never leave this country the same by virtue of these God given resources,” Winnie Kiiza posted.

Balloon Safaris

Balloon safaris are some of the most interesting adventures done in East African parks. They are common in Kenya and Tanzania and provide tourists with  a chance to do sight seeing as well as game viewing.

The launch of hot air balloon safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park is expected to boost tourism, the largest foreign exchange earner for Uganda.
