The High Court in Kampala has Thursday tasked Sarah Nabikolo Sebunnya, the widow of the late businessman Bugembe Kasiwukira to explain why the latter had become suspicious of her prior to his death.
This followed a ruling in which High Court judge, Justice Wilson Masalu Musene, who is in charge of her case ruled that Nabikolo and two others have a case to answer and thus ordered them to prepare their defense.
The judge said the ruling was premised on testimony that was brought by the prosecution clearly showed that all the accused persons knew something about the murder.
One of Prosecution’s witness, Gayi Bugembe, the brother of the deceased told court that the relationship between Nabikolo and his brother had been affected when the deceased married another wife.
According to the judge’s ruling, such evidence from close family members couldn’t be taken lightly.
Nabikolo’s co-accused include Kasiwukira’s sister in law and a one Sandrah Nakungu.
