Airtel Mega Masappe Winners Rewarded

Today, telecommunications giant, Airtel Uganda has handed over 3million and 3 Motor Bikes to its subscribers in the Airtel Mega Masappe 1st draw held at Airtel Uganda Head offices.

The lucky winners expressed their excitement as they were receiving their prizes and one of the them, Katabira Michael who is in his Senior Six vacation was quoted saying, “I am so excited and I can’t believe it, I am going to use this 1 million to pay for my tuition for my first semester at campus.”

“I want to encourage all Airtel Subscribers to join in this Mega Masappe campaign because you win big. Thank you Airtel, thank you for making me a happy person,” he added.

Dennis Kakonge, the Airtel Uganda Director Legal and Regulatory Affairs congratulated the first group of winners at the prize-giving ceremony.

“We made a promise to Ugandans to offer them the most reliable and affordable telecommunications services while directly improving their lives through our different offerings and campaigns and this promotion is evidence that we are doing just that,” he said,

Kakonge further encouraged Ugandans to take part in the promotion; to stand a chance to win various prizes including cars, motorbikes and cash.

As part of ‘Mega Masappe’, subscribers are required to opt into the promo by dialing *162# and selecting option 1 to opt in, option 2 to check target and option 3 to redeem their data bonus – which will be broken down into Voice, SMS and Data at 50%, 10% and 40% respectively. This bonus however does not apply to social packs, quarterly, annual and free bundles.

Mega Masappe promotion subscriber bonus will be given instantly on the achievement of the daily target. For example, if a subscriber’s bonus target is Ushs1,000 and they recharge with that Ushs1,000, they will receive 100% bonus of the same value under the Voice, SMS & Data split.

However, if they recharge with another Shs1,000 on the same day, they will not get a 2nd bonus.

Daily and weekly prizes will be given away every Friday for the duration of the promo.
