Uganda has qualified for the 2021 AFCON U17 scheduled to take place in Morocco next year. This was confirmed after the young talented outfit narrowly edged past Djibouti in the first semifinal of the CECAFA U17 taking place in Rwanda.
Uganda best Djibouti 1 – 0 with the goal scored by promising sharp shooter Oscar Mawa lone in the 90th minute, taking his tally to six goals in three games for the lethal youngster in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Tanzania are also into the CECAFA U17 final and will face the Uganda Cubs on Tuesday.
Tanzania edged Ethiopia 4-3 on penalties after a 1-all draw in regular time. Uganda also faced Tanzania in the CECAFA U20 final in Arusha earlier this month to win the title.
Congratulations..
