The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has unveiled Jonathan McKinstry as the new head coach for the Male football national team, the Uganda Cranes.
This was during a special press conference held today morning at FUFA house in Mengo.
Upon his unveiling, Jonathan said that there is no doubt that the Uganda Cranes job is one of the best jobs in international football across all over Africa.
“I’m excited to be here. The players here are the group I believe we can achieve a lot'” he added
Coach McKinstry has been working with SAIF Sporting Club in Bangladesh and will be leading the Cranes until 2022 (30 Sep 2019).
He replaces frenchman Sebastien Desabre who guided Uganda out of the group stages the recently concluded AFCON19 in Egypt for the first time in the last 40+ years. Desabre later resigned two days just after Cranes being knocked out by Senegal in round 16.
